That's What the Intern Says ... Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner

Herbal-essences Our hair is important to us!

Yes it is. Don't lie. You may say you don't do anything to your hair, but admit it ... you love a great hair cut, you love a great hairstyle, you l-o-v-e a great hair care product.

When it comes to conditioner, finding the right one is very important.  While conditioner makes our hair feel soft and silky and totally touchable, it can also cause our hair to fall flat (funny enough, that's because it makes it soft smooth and silky).  I armed the interns with Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner and asked them to test it out until the bottle fell dry.  Here's what they had to say ... (have a seat - this is another long post!)

Christine the Intern Says:

The hours of preparation we go through to curl every lock, straighten every strand, and perfectly place your bangs just the way you want it then BAM! You walk out the door and a big, cold rush of wind comes along or a big heat wave and ruins your hair. At that point you know that smooth, satin, softness you had inside your house is now gone. All that’s left is dry, damaged hair.
I know that during the winter months my hair gets really thin, dry, and tangles much quicker. This always drives me crazy. I wanted something that would really work so that this wouldn’t happen half way through the day. So I tried using Hello Hydration Conditioner by Herbal Essences. Automatically the word “Hydration” caught my attention and from using different products from Herbal Essences before I knew they were a good brand to trust.
After trying this product for a couple of weeks I found that my hair stayed smooth and soft all day long. Being a full-time student, having to travel back and forth through the subway full of pollution, and then going in and out of different temperatures all day really put a strain on my hair. This conditioner really helped to keep my hair together which is a relief.
In the cosmetic industry you always need to look your best, as well as every day, and that includes your hair. Knowing you have amazing hair takes off at least one stress, which can make all the difference in the world.

Amanda the Intern Says:

Hello Hydration conditioner helps to restore hair that has been damaged by the air and all its pollutants. Although Herbal Essences Hello Hydration is suggested by several buyers, it does not work for everyone that uses it. I have found that it works for the people with silky, free flowing hair, but not as well for the people with already coarse and chemically straightened hair, such as myself. However, it smells wonderful!

Siobhan the Intern Says:

Now we all know how our hair gets in the winter months. It can become dehydrated and dead at the ends. Now, since I have short hair, my hair doesn’t tend to die or dry out but it does become…flat, limp, lifeless. My first instinct would be to go to a volumizing or thickening conditioner, which is what I normally tend to do. But they don’t really seem to work. Since I’ve been using this conditioner, I kid you not: my hair looks like it has drastically increased in “oomph” and body.
I looked at the reviews for this conditioner and, not to my surprise, others are feeling the same way I am about this conditioner. Most of the ratings are five stars, and people comment on the scent, and texture, and of course, the overall outcome of their hair. This conditioner is infused with orchid and coconut milk which makes it smell absolutely amazing. Many of the reviews were written by women with really thick and curly hair, and they all said that it made their unmanageable hair silky and easy to play around with.
This conditioner seems to work on all sort of hair including African (one woman’s review said it was amazing on her stubborn locks). It’s sort of like, an all in one hair care product. It hydrates your hair keeping it healthy, smooth, and silky. It smells amazing, gives flat hair volume and out of control hair stability.
I don’t have anything negative to say about this product, and I will soon be purchasing the shampoo to go with the conditioner. I really love what this does to my hair, and recommend it for women of all different backgrounds, hair lengths, and hair issues.

  • ... January 31, 2012 End of January 2012 already? Say what?! Now that we are in the midst of winter, albeit warm and actually quite nice out, I'm in a stage of wearing minimal makeup in order to keep my face looking fresh and clean and opposed to dry and cracked. First, I used plenty of moisturizer to hydrate the skin and once that has sunk in, I applied a selection of Bobbi Brown concealers to the under eye area and around the nose, chin and cheeks to minimize dark circles and redness. Blend blend blend. Then I rubbed in some Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Pale Pink to the cheeks and dotted some onto the lips as well. I topped it off with Bobbi Brown lip gloss in Citrus - a new electric orange gloss from the new Neon and Nudes line. - Stephanie, Ms. BlushPretty

  • … Ardell Half Lashes in 301 and 305 I used to be a big fan of building up the outer lash area using single clusters ... but as of late, it's Ardell's 301 and 305 that sends my brides' (and mine) heart flutter. Using these lashes, I think, gives the exaggeration of a full strip, but the natural "I was born with these lashes" feel. Lash trick: give the glue about 5 to 8 seconds to get tacky before applying to the lash line! - Stephanie, Ms. BlushPretty

  • ... Revlon Illuminance Crème Shadow? This cream based eyeshadow is not like your average eyeshadow. Normally, if you don’t prime your eyes before applying eyeshadow, it can slide right off - leaving little to no product left on the eye. (What's the point then, right?) This cream eyeshadow doesn't disappear or slip or slide, at all. (Yay!) It comes in packs of four different colors but they all go great together. The one that I bought is a nude/neutral set and when I use all the colors together it gives me a natural looking finish. - Alanna D., the intern

I needed to buy a new concealer and I just so happened to be looking around in The Body Shop when the saleslady walked up to me and asked me if I needed help - andof course, being the talkative person that I am - I told her I was looking for a new concealer. She recommended their Pencil Concealer that I have now used every day since making the purchase. It is by far my favourite concealer; it covers any imperfections without looking to overdone or covered up. - Alanna D., the intern

  • ... Medium Shopping Bag Makeup Palette from Sephora. I picked up this small palette of makeup from Sephora during the holidays and it is amazing! It comes with 33 eyeshadows, 12 lipsticks, 4 blushes, and 2 bronzers. When I first bought it, I immediately went home to use the lipstick colors. I mixed a few of them together and ended up with a gorgeous pinkish color with a hint of purple. There are so many colors to choose from to mix and match so the possibilities are endless! - Alanna D., the intern
