Share three random things about yourself: The colours of Autumn make me smile.  Community is my new favourite tv show. Games make me feel giddy!

And now the questions ...

1.  You woke up late and have ten minutes to get ready and out the door.  What is the beauty routine and list the products you would use.

Sounds like everyday for me!  A quick face wash and moisturize. Toss on some MAC Golden Bronzer, Maybelline Great Lash Mascara, coral lip gloss from MAC, and a touch of putty to tousle my short hair.  Then I run out the door with a smile on my face!

2.  You have ten dollars to spend on beauty product with no coupon to spare nor membership points to redeem.  What would you buy and from where?

Maybelline Mascara from Shoppers.  Mascara makes my eyes light-up so I would always choose to spend money on it!

3.  You got sixty dollars to spend on beauty product without a care and anywhere you please.  What would you buy and from where?

Definicils Mascara from Lancome.  I love this stuff. A fantastic blush brush from MAC.

4.  Share with us your biggest beauty secret – either a hot tip for us to try ... or your worst beauty disaster ever.  Which one will it be?

I think the most beautiful thing on a person are laugh lines around the eyes.  It's a tell that they laugh and enjoy their life.  So, I guess my biggest beauty secret is to laugh and play, and always have a smile on your face!

5.  Name your poison. Facials worth more than your rent payment, a $2.99 bottle of nail polish that everyone mistakes for Chanel’s latest colour. What’s your guilty beauty pleasure?

I go to The Brow House once a month to have my eyebrows shaped. I love how nicely my brows shape my face after I leave there - I always feel so beautiful.

on this day i wore ...

  • February 28, 2010 – The whole no-makeup makeup look. I started with clean skin as I am currently experimenting with Olay's Pro-X skincare line. I blended on rms beauty un-cover concealer in 22 only over red areas and blemishes. I then applied rms beauty's living luminizer on the highest part of my cheekbones and underneath the brow bone. My cheeks were naturally flushed this day, so I didn't bother with blush. I lined my eyes with Shu Uemura's Eye Drawing Pencil in ME Black and applied a bit of Burt's Bees lip balm. Done-zo.

my brides are wearing ...

  • … MAC Mineralize Skinfinishes Bronzy, pinky, or pinky-bronzy, they love this stuff. It give a soft but noticeable glow over the cheeks. I dust it on high on the cheekbones and over a matte blush. Skinfinishes seem to mesh with the skin rather than sit on top of it so they look seamless. I used to use Warmed and Lightly Flushed, but they were limited edition. But I never worry about running out. MAC has a standard set and always introduce limited edition colours, so I make sure to pick up one that is slightly bronzed, one that is super pink, and another one that is pearly.

did you know ...

  • … washing your hair daily does more harm than good? Giving your hair a good shampoo daily may leave you with squeaky clean hair, but squeaky clean doesn't mean healthy. Washing your hair daily with shampoo and conditioner strips your hair of all the natural oils it needs to protect, moisturize and keep the hair shaft healthy. Understandably, it may be hard to make the switch from daily two 2 or 3 times a week (which is recommended). Start by shampooing your hair every other day instead and rinse with just water in between. Experiment with "day after" hairstyles and accessories such as hairbands or barettes and ponytails and braids. You'll notice a vast improvement in the condition and texture of your hair once you break the daily habit.

have you tried ...

  • ... Noir Cosmetics? Neither have I ... yet! Just last month this Canadian-based brand was kind enough to send to me a selection of their black eyeliners and shadows. I cannot wait to test them out and report back to you. What I already like about this line is the fact that they focus on two great beauty products: black liner and black mascara. Their brand consists ONLY of black liners in several forms: pencil, kohl, liquid, gel, etc. Then they have one eyeshadow palette and one mascara to finish the look. How smart is that? Anyway, this month, I'll be Rockstar Queen as I wear heavily lined eyes daily! Be sure to check back for my reviews.

i just can't live without my ...

  • ... Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Mousse and Spray Gel. I recently got a bad haircut. B-A-D! So while I'm growing it out, I'm wearing my hair naturally wavy (which is super funny because I always thought I had super straight hair). Straight out of the shower, I remove all excess water from my hair. Rather than combing through, I actually let it stay a bit of a hot mess while I scrunch in a golf ball amount of Tousle Me Softly Mousse. I twist, I smush, I make a mess. I let it air-dry. Before I head out the door, I spritz a bit of the spray gel on. This gives me a "yes I slept in" look that kinda looks alright.

and i just bought ...

  • ... rms beauty un-cover concealer in 22. I die. I absolutely love the texture of this concealer. It provides enough coverage for me to wear alone and it lasts all day. I rarely need to touch up and if I do, it's due to my own vanity and not because the product has slipped and slid away. Firm in the pot, it turns creamy once I warm it up a bit an layer it on over my flaws. The perfect colour for my yellow undertone too. It's officially a must have!
