Make Scents!
It was never a habit for me to wear a scent ...
And not because I didn't like fragrance but because I never really found one I truly loved. In addition to that, prior to all this BlushPretty nonsense (lol) I did work in a corporate environment for over 10 years and you know corporate office and politics ... the whole "no perfume" policy ... (some co-workers are sooooooo touchy).
Now that I'm older and have more of a sense of what I like and don't like ... and now that my office is my own studio and I can wear whatever I darn please ... I'm beginning to find a love for scent.
I recently picked up a few bottles ...
Vera Wang Princess: This is my Fun Scent. When I'm wearing a t-shirt and jeans and just keeping it casual. Its fruity and floral - very light on the nose - and has a hint of vanilla. The bottle is very pretty too and the cap for the spritzer can double for a ring ... see ... FUN!
Marc Jacobs Daisy: This is my Style Scent. Ha! Still a fun scent (look at the bottle!!) and easy on the nose, it's a little more grown up but not overpowering or intimidating. It's quite fresh smelling with top notes of wild strawberries and grapefruit.
Ricci Ricci by Nina Ricci: This is my Should I Scent. As in should I buy it? I actually don't own the bottle yet, but it would definitely be a Statement Scent once I decide if I should or shouldn't. Its got a stronger feel to it - with notes of patchouli and sandalwood. While still fruity, it's a hint more sensual.
During these blah months when the weather turns and the darkness seems to last forever, a fragrance can act like a great pick me up. As you can see I gravitate toward fruity and floral scents - which remind me of brighter days and ice cream - but there is so much more out there for any type of nose!
Happy Shopping!
