Don't overthink it.
I think one of my favourite looks is the whole smokey eye thing worn with a simple tee and jeans. Many would say that this combo is hard to pull off and a bit odd. Mixing casual with drama, while looking like you haven't tried too hard, is no easy task but you can pull it off.
For Kristin's look to the right, I used a series of browns (from dark to midtone to a bit of sparkly brown too) and plum. I layered and smudged and kept the darkest of colours to the very outer corner to keep the drama on the lighter side and make the look wearable for day. Also, instead of using a liquid liner, which is what I would normally do for a smokey eye, I kept with the powders smudging a soft line around the entire eye.
I added plenty of warm blush to her cheeks giving her a childlike flush to keep it playful. I slicked on a little bit of gloss and to keep the look on the casual side, I flipped the hair and twisted it into a side pony.
My key makeup colours for the look: Shroom, Soba and Bateau eyeshadow by MAC; Barefoot Contessa eyeshadow by Stila; Melba blush by MAC
The smokey eye - a geat way to accessorize your favourite tee and jeans.
