The Mommy Checklist
Fold laundry, pay bills, sterilize bottles, put on lipstick ... My second creation ... Callum at 6 months
As my newborn moves into being a not-so-newborn, I've had to make some adjustments to my morning checklist. I've tweaked it here and there but have finally found a way to make my checklist work with my beauty routine.
Apply facial moisturizer, then clear the dishwasher: This gives my skin time to breathe and my moisturizer time to absorb before applying makeup. By waiting the 5 minutes it takes to clear the dishwasher, my foundation and cream blush won't slide off the skin as it normally would if I applied it immediately after moisturizing.
Wash hair and wrap in towel, the fold laundry: By the time I finish folding the laundry, the water and moisture in my hair is absorbed by the towel and my hair is in prime condition for a good blowdry. Remember, you don't want to blowdry or heat style your hair while its still quite wet ... it causes the frizzies.
Bathe baby while soaking feet in the tub: While bathing baby, I soak my feet to soften and prep the skin. After I've bathed and dressed baby, I go back to the soapy bathwater, take a pumice stone to the feet and scrub away. Rinse and follow up with a luxe foot cream.
There are so many ways to multitask ...beauty can really be that easy!
