Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Despite the bumps in the road, let's face it ... for the most part your life is probably pretty good and you have a lot to be thankful for. You've got a great family, good friends, a job (whether its the job you want or not, at least its a paycheck coming in right?), and a roof over your head. How bad can it be if you have the essentials?
I mean sure, I want a bigger closet to house my clothes, purses, accessories and make-up ... and it wouldn't hurt to have more clothes, purses, accessories and make-up to fill it with ... but I wouldn't give up one thing I have: my boys (husband included - lol), my cozy little home, or my BlushPretty!
BlushPretty has kept me super busy this year and its given me a lot to be proud about. Between launching the BlushTube Videos and sending out newsletters and keeping the site current, I'm doing something I love to do ... EVERYDAY. Thank you so much to all my readers and clients who have given me a reason to work harder and harder. I have a lot to be thankful for.
For this fresh. beautiful. Friday, I decided to share with you three products that I am truly thankful for.
NARS Blush in Deep Throat. I know. I know. Their blush in Orgasm is the favourite across the globe ... but this is my colour. It's a bit deeper, but still has the glow and subtle shimmer similar to Orgasm. Deep Throat works well on deeper skintones and NARS blush (no matter what the colour) always glides on smoothly and evenly. The colours are very, very wearable. I have other blushes in my rotation, but this is my "go-to" in case of an emergency!
MAC Eyeshadow in Shroom. If only I could buy stock in this one product. I am constantly refilling this eyeshadow pan in my artist's palette. I use it as a highlighter on almost everyone. It works so well on most skintones and gives that nice sheen to the browbone and inner eye. Not too shimmery, not too flat: it compliments all the other colours you could possibly have. Everyone should have this colour in their make-up kit.
Shu Uemura Eye Drawing Pencil in ME Black. I prefer defining my eye with a soft black pencil than using mascara. I use this pencil to create a fuller lashline and to create a darker edge around my eye. Maybe its only me, but I find it more mysterious. :) My trick: I don't trace a line above my lashline. Instead, I look up and dot between my lashes from underneath the lashline - close to the inner rim, but not quite. And of course, I smudge a smidgen. Then repeat!
Okay - so truth is, I have about 20 more products I am thankful for, but the above three are things I would use in a pinch and that I know would work with almost any outfit or style I'm going for.
So now its your turn - what are you thankful for??
Happy Shopping! (Though stores may be closed on Monday ... boooo)
